I was just wondering what ports need to be open from a server to allow for it to be able to call the adaptive planning web services? We're in the process of setting up a new machine and would like these ports specified so we can make allowances for the ports so that we can call adaptive planning services from these ports.
Adaptive Planning web services are available at this URL:
Port 443 is a standard https port and usually does not require any special allowance.
You can test access to web services by entering this URL in a web browser: https://api.adaptiveinsights.com/api/v15. You should get an error message: "Illegal Input. Input data must be an XML document.". This indicates that you have successfully reached the Adaptive Server (but since you did not include a valid API request you get the error message). You can also "ping" api.adaptiveinsights.com and you should get a reply.
We recommend that you whitelist the domains listed below instead of whitelisting specific IP addresses because IP addresses can be added or changed dynamically with AWS. Also, Adaptive Planning reserves the right to move your instance to a different server without notice for load balancing or other operations management purposes.
If specific IP addresses need to be whitelisted, please contact Support (firstname.lastname@example.org) for additional assistance.
