What is the format I'm supposed to use to recreate the Personnel sheet for my new planning version? I copied the data from my old version, but it needs to be updated. Is there any easier way to do this than to manually delete the existing rows and re add the new employees?
The quickest way to update the the Personnel sheet is to import the data. To create the basis of your Personnel import file, you can do one of the following:
To Replace All Data:
- Obtain the printable view of the Personnel sheet from the top Level in the organization structure. This will give you the current Personnel sheet in an Excel file that you can then make any updates to. Please note it is imported to get the printable view from the top level, because this option replaces data for all levels.
- Make any necessary changes to the printable view, and save the file
To Add Imported Rows to Existing Data:
- Download a Template from the Integration area of the application. To do this, you would select the Personnel sheet under Import Into Sheet and then click Download Template. This template would be completely blank.
- Populate the template with the rows you wish to import. There is an instructions page in the template for additional help.
Once you have your import template populated, you can then import the sheet to Adaptive Planning. When importing to a modeled sheet, under Import Mode you can choose to add the imported rows to the sheet, which appends the imported data under the data already in the sheet, or to replace all the data in the sheet, which erases everything already in the sheet and replaces it with the imported data.
One other option you have would be to create a new version. When you create a new Version you have the option to not copy rows from modeled sheets into the new version. When the Copy modeled rows option is not checked, the newly created version will not have a copy of all modeled rows from the source version.
