Doughnut Chart

Here is the procedure for creating a doughnut chart dial like the one shown:

Doughnut Charts are useful for displaying the breakdown of personnel expenses (salary, medical, commissions, bonuses, and so on), expenses/revenue broken down by levels or products, and other data that represents 100% of a whole.
To create a doughnut chart of the company’s operating expenses broken down by level:

Click Edit In Place
(or open the Visual Designer if you prefer).

Expand the Component Library (edit in place only) by clicking Expand
.
Note: When using the editors, click Apply from time to time to see how the changes you are making affect the dial.

Click Dials
in the Component Library.

Drag Create New Dial onto your dashboard.
The Create New Dial dialog appears. -
Click the Pie Chart template and enter a name for the dial.

Click Create.
The new dial appears in your Personal Dials folder. -
Click your new dial’s name to open it for editing.
The Editors menu updates with the editing options for a pie chart. -
Click Aspect Ratio in the Editors menu.

Click 2x1.

Click Apply.

Click Chart Settings in the Editors menu.

Under Legend Settings, set Legend Style to Standard and Legend Position to whatever position you like. In this example, use Tall - Left Middle.

Click Apply.

Click Data Settings in the Editors menu.

Under Account, select the account you want the dial to display the data for. The example below shows Operating Expenses expenses selected.

Click the Appearance Tab.

Under Display Type, choose Doughnut:

Click Apply.

Click Save Layout.
You’re done! To see your new dial in action, click Return to Dashboards.
