Pyramid and Funnel Charts

Pyramid charts (shown below) display data segmented by category. You typically use them to display category series data. A funnel chart is an inverted pyramid chart.

To create a pyramid chart:

Click Edit In Place
(or open the Visual Designer if you prefer).

Expand the Component Library (edit in place only) by clicking Expand
.

Click Dials
in the Component Library.

Expand the Personal Dials folder.

Drag Create New Dial onto your dashboard.
The Create New Dial dialog appears. -
Click the Pyramid/Funnel Chart template and enter Expenses as the dial’s name.

Click the name of the dial in your folder to and drag it to the location where you want it to appear (if you are using the Visual Designer, you can just click to open it in the editing area).

Click Data Settings in the Editors menu.

In the Account drop-down, select the account or level whose information you want the dial to display (in this case, Expenses):

In the Category Dimension menu, select the dimension you want to view the data by (in this case, Total Company has been selected, which splits the data up among the departments).

Click Apply.

Click Close.

Click Chart Settings in the Editors menu.

In the Legend Style menu, select Standard.

In the Legend Position menu, select Wide - Bottom Center:

Click Apply.

Click Close.
Your dial is done!
